Cheap accomodation in Phi Phi for lone female

Can anybody recommend a cheap hostel/hotel for me to stay in in Phi Phi? Arriving there end of April and want to stay somewhere cheap but not a dump and somewhere I can meet people:D And would I have to book this before I arrive on the island or would it be safe enough to walk in when I get there and get a room?? Cheers
