i think its as poor looking as the current one, look at it for 5 mins and you'll see how its gonna date rapidly and in depreciation too !!
And its not out for another 3 yrs its gonna be historic in looks alone

Its defo not as nice as the old one. They shouldn't put the badge on the bonnet. The current one is nice. Especially the estate.

personally I find it will be very hard to beat the styling of the current beauty

    'Current beauty'????

OP what are you smoking, seriously:confused::eek:...

The Pugs of the '80s and early '90s were nicely styled (205, 405, 306) with great handling and were way ahead of their time in terms of developing acceptable diesels. The 407 can look well in higher specs but it's a mid-range family car from a volume manufacturer. I'm not one to come on here ****ein' on in tunnel vision about M3s and Porkers yada yada but describing a 407 in such glowing terms is just a bit much!:)

In this category only the Alfa 156/159 could lay claim to being something special in terms of looks (and PLEASE...no-one mention the new Citroen C5 or I will SCREAM like a big girl:rolleyes:)

What i particularly dislike about the 407 is how the front wheel is so far back, it's almost in the cabin ...and that sharks mouth of a grille is about three miles to the front of it ...very ugly overhang, imo. That 408 doesn't improve on that.

Yeah not gone on the 407's styling at all, it's all front, the overhang of the front quarter panel is too much, a bit like a person with a big nose. :)

As someone else said the front axel is too far back. Doesn't drive as nice as the 406 either.

i dont mind the 407 that much, in the same way i dont mind any other car in that class. The majority are motoring white goods. But that 408 to me looks just like a bland bloated 407, in the same way a 308 is of a 307. They might look ok spec'd up to the hilt but the cooking models will just look plain wrong

This may require a new thread but has anyone noticed how Peugeot are pinching design cues (or sometimes even blatantly copying) from other car manufacturers.

I'll use the new 3008 as an example:

    Interior:
    http://lh4.ggpht.com/_7VS_BBvhHzw/SXD4kjvtFAI/AAAAAAAAA1M/89XzF9zzwpk/s800/pug-3008-interior.jpg
Interior of an Audi R8: http://image.motortrend.com/f/9212045/112_0701_01z+2008_audi_r8+interior.jpg

    Rear three quarter styling: http://www.zcars.com.au/images/peugeot-3008-crossover12.jpg
Rear three quarter styling of a Volvo XC60: http://images.myride.com/images/vehicle/2009/Volvo/XC60/staff/2009_Volvo_XC60_7_(768x576).jpg

And the overall styling I feel is nicked from the Nissan Qashqai: http://photos.autoexpress.co.uk/images/front_picture_library_UK/dir_437/car_photo_218504_7.jpg

If I was Audi I think I would definately file a lawsuit about that interior by the way.....

HAh! That may be nice, but it's like everything we see in magazines and the likes, when it hits Irish soil, with it's poverty spec, it's hideous.

    Here we go, lol

Ah come on, that looks lovely. Can't imagine it handles very well though. Big heavey engine hanging over the front.

First 2 pictures are not bad to be honest.
