have a look in builders providers for safety glasses they come in all colours and shapes yellow, clear, green, black, triangle, round, square.....etc

or maybe even try woodies and the likes of that. they should do the job and wont cost a fortune

Do not skimp on paying for glasses. I cannot stress that enough. It is right up there with "Buy good boots" as far as Airsoft advice goes.

There are very good pairs available for 30 quid and a little bit less.

Guarder C3 and C4 are good glasses that won't break the bank.

    http://cgi.ebay.ie/Guarder-C3-Shooting-Protection-Glasses-UV400-Sunglasses_W0QQitemZ110369181379QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Cycling_Clothing?hash=item110369181379&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1301%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318

These will hit your door for less than 30 quid and they have some anti-fog properties.

Right, are you sure they wont fog? I really need glasses that dont fog. Also dont you need to have the glass coming on the sides a small bit aswell?

Use a little fairy liquid on the lenses.

Almost all glasses/goggles will fog to some extent. It will depend on the care you take with them.

The Guarders have an insert that goes around the frame. This seals the glasses around your eyes. Check the details before you buy them.

As posted above, the fairy liquid trick does work. Smear a bit of fairy liquid on the lenses, rub in well with a dry cloth/tissue.

Ok, i'll probably get these then. But if i didnt, would these http://www.seairsoft.net/product_details.php?id=422&sub=9&subcat=Eye%20Protection not fog if i put fairy liquid on them? also how much and when?

Use enough fairy liquid to coat the lenses. And do it before you go out to skirmish.

And as for those glasses I can't say if they're good or bad, but I wouldn't imagine that they have any anti fogging properties. Apart from the fact that they don't have foam around the edges so your hot breath wouldn't get trapped.

It also means that a BB can still hit your eye (if shot from the right angle; or a ricochet ). And AFAIK some sites won't allow you use these.

I sure as hell wouldn't use them thats for sure. My eyes are worth more to me then €5.

yeah I dont think anybody could put a price on there eyes,

What i do is go with viper goggles (25 euros) and then just squirt a bit of fairy liquid on it and your grand for half the day then do this again at break. cheap and cheerfull

I use glasses similar to the guarders and although they do fog up some times I find them so much better than goggles, makes targeting a lot easier and they have been hit by many a BB, no even a scratch.

As far as I know, these type of glasses are allowed, I've worn mine on a few sites so far, no complaints

Loads of people wear them, but I have read in at least one sites rules that there can be no gap between for face and the glasses/goggles for a BB to enter.
That being said I plan on getting some Guarders myself at some stage.

A little advice in relation to fogging lenses.

I do scuba diving a lot and when you get a new mask it ALWAYS fogs. What's happened is that in the factory, while fitting the lenses, they've been lightly coated with a silicone-like solution. This helps protect against scratches and the like and also makes fitting easier. It also, unfortunately, makes the plastic hydrophobic meaning it'll form condensation in the form of tiny drops - fog!

To remove this stupid layer of stupidity that should have been removed in the factory, the handiest thing to do is to get a little toothpaste and rub it around on the lenses and then wash it of.
This lightly scratches off the stupid layer of gunk without damaging the glass/plastic lens.
But because of the nature of the layer it can, for want of a better word, melt back into place, abet much thinner but still causing the damn fogging.
all this means is that you may need to do this a number of times over the period of about a week to a month at most and then its, usually, happy days!!!

    Hope this helps
