    Hi
just wondering is it possible to buy the blu ray drive for the PS3?

My lens has gone for the 2nd time and Im getting seriously p!ssed off with the piece of sh1t that sony is selling.

So far I have had to replace the HDD(which went 2 days after the years warranty was up)and the lense twice.

Its a known fault and Im surprised sony have the balls to sell something that can regularly go wrong. At least Microsoft had the decency to extend their warranty by 3 years for the RROD fault on the xbox360 which apparently is going to cost them 1.2 billion dollars eventually

was going to mail Sony support but I would only end telling the support agent to go to hell(and it aint his fault!!)

There are loads of them available on eBay for around £50. Two types are available depending on your model PS3, single intergrated laser or dual cd/blu-ray laser.

Does the Blu Ray Laser read the PS1 games?

Known fault as in the laser can die? Well its true of any laser based product, it doesn't mean its a design flaw like RROD.

You don't. Ireland did not sign up to the EU directive. We are exempted because they say we have a better protection under out sale of goods act. Problem is, you will have to go through the small claims court.
