Going to make this a breif as possible, have been seeing a guy for about 2 months now, going for drinks fri/sat nite also went away together for a few nights. Thought all was going well. But lately he doesn't seem as keen as he was!!! Initially he did all the "chasing" and now it always seems to be that suggests the nights out etc... Has he lost interest?? I was hoping that this would go somewhere as i really like him. Should i just ask him straight out? Don't want to come on all heavy, but would just like to know where I stand. we're both in our 30's.

Why dont you leave it to him to suggest something/somewhere for this weekend? If he does then maybe he is one of them guys who likes the female to do all the organising. If he dosent , then maybe he is not as keen as he was originally.

I don't think it would be unreasonable to sit down and have the chat - "where is this going". You should get a feel from his response how keen he is on you and indeed the relationship.

Leaving him to do the organising and seeing where this gets is an option as suggested, but could have several unintended consequences, e.g. nothing gets organised (doesn't necessarily mean he's gone off you, he may just be getting a bit lazy) and you may be no clearer on where you stand and are left wondering what's going on for another week.

My advice: bite the bullet and ask him where things stand. But don't make it an interrogation or shine a light in his eyes or anything! Keep it casual ;)

OP, guy here who was just in a similar situation with a girl. She was pretty keen at the start and made alot of effort initally, she was the main instigator of everything. After about 3 months it bagan to become apparent to me that she wasnt as keen as previous as it was always me who suggested meeting up etc. Its quiet annoying to be honest because you really cant judge were you stand. I was so confused and head was melted from double guessing that enough was enough and I asked for an answer. She wasnt interested. Thats fine, id rather know and move on then waste my time with someone where its going nowhere. Maybe he has lost interest and maybe he hasnt but if you would like to know where you stand I dont think there is anything wrong with that and think you should just ask.
