what area is best in cork city

    hi all,
    I'm moving to cork city soon but im not familiar with the areas at all. can anyone give me a few suggestion of what areas are best for renting. i would like to stay close to the city center as possible.

    Can't go wrong with Douglas really. You could try Bishopstown, Ballinlough, Glasheen.

    They are all 2 - 4 miles from city centre. Or you could just try city centre.

    Ballinlough :) Takes me about 15 mins to get to Patrick St - the main St in the city. Nice quiet area also.

    st.lukes is worth checking out - wellington road
    the mardyke road is pretty alright too
