what about a book on all boards members, as a last longest bet?

This has been done for the last couple of years on Paddy Power

Odds on a Bob Battersby & Cheif 1-2, in either order?

I'll give you 33/1. You won't get a better price than that.

    Libel! Slander! Outrage!

    25/1 is fair.

in fairness, the Chief has really tightened up his game these days, I counted 3 pots in 3 orbits last night that he didn't limp in PF

A fifth of the odds six places EW is pretty crappy. Surely EW should be at least 8 places - ie: Final Table.

the FT has been scheduled to be 6 handed for the past few years.

And 5th of the odds? Weren't they always a quarter?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,002 ✭✭✭fatguy

Seems like there's plenty of value here. There's a few names on that list who you know are going to be there or there abouts as they approach the final table.

There is no value. Name 5 players and I will be impressed if any one of them makes the last 6.

Gordon Cowan....longest odds possible please. I have no ranking results and I'll be the only one betting on myself. Free money for PP.

Is it not quite pointless, betting on yourself, since by entering the tournament thats exactly what you are doing ..... Yes I might be a bit crazy, but hey thats the way my psychiatrist likes it

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,924 ✭✭✭Fatboydim

I only ever bet on myself for one reason. If I win any money the bet might at least cover the bar bill.:D

Any price on a mate of mine John Kavanagh just to cash???Cant access it here in work.He qualified via PP.

Odd's on players to cash would probably be very popular.

If 10% of the field cash..then a 200/1 player would be 20/1 to cash?

Not necessarily. I'd imagine some players that are 300/1 to win the event would have a better chance of cashing than some people that are 200/1...different ballgame lasting into the money as it is to go on and win the event

Good point. But the way I see it, €3500 into ME and possibly €600,000 for the winner.
If I was to put €3500 on myself at 300-1, I get a cool €1,053,500.

    Realistically I'd probably put €100 at 300-1.

    Totally understand.
But I still think paddypower should do a book on it as it would be popular.
As a punter you have some chance of picking a player to cash, even though I had roland de wolfe e/w when he came 2nd. And I got 1/4 the odds/place.

Best of luck in it Tony if ur in it.

I'd imagine PP do extremely well with the betting markets on the Irish Open, so if they feel its a profitable market, they would run it. I can imagine it would be pretty hard to price up though, and as they wont have a full list of runners etc until just before it kicks off, its probably more of a hassle than anything else.

I'm off to the Sporting in 15 mins to have a last attempt at qualifying otherwise i wont be there. Best of luck yourself Ian if you're playing

lol, did you not hear about channings bet last year?

markets on to make the money and to make the final table will be up in a day or two - we have had them for the past few years and this year is unlikely to be any different.
