Plasma Repairs?

I bought a Samsung 42" plasma in early 2007 (not sure of the exact model, but can get it). It's out of warranty (I know, 3 year warranty is on the cards for replacement for definite)

In the last few months, it's started to overheat, I reckon. If it runs for more than a few hours, or the ambient temperature in the room is higher then normal, I get a loud hissing from the speakers, and occasionally the picture breaks and I get extremely loud static.

Firstly, has anyone experienced this? Any remedies I can try?

Secondly, are plasma TVs in general fixable for this kind of thing? What's annoying is that I can't reproduce the problem on demand, it tends to happen right at the good bits in stuff I'm watching :-/ Can anyone recommend a good repair service, preferably one that does house calls.

    Cheers!
