How old is my Compaq laptop ?

Bought a second hand Campaq Presario F500 over the weekend to replace my broken Dell. I know that I could enter the service tag of the Dell and I could find out how old the machine was. Is there a way to tell the age of this Compaq ? The battery only lasts 30 minutes so I think it is older that I was led to believe. No…

I'm not sure the answer but Laptop batteries can vary depending on how they were treated. My work laptop was always used mobile, so charge it at night use it next day till it dies, then charge in the car etc etc...

It lasted about 4 months till it was ruined altogether

What clock speed is processor? that should give you a rough idea whether its ancient or not...
