Can anyone recommend a garage around Galway that could fix the clutch on my Rover MG ZT? Wards garage in Oranmore advertise as MG Rover specialists, has anyone used them before?

    Excelsior were MG dealers.

Why use an MG Dealer? Use a good indi and save yourself a fortune

Good point. I've edited the title to make it a bit clearer. Any good garage will do, but an Ex Rover mechanic, or someone with experience with Rovers, would be a bonus. It is a big job with these apparently, with people in the UK talking about paying up to £1,000 plus on the Rover forums, so I'm looking to get a few quotes ideally, and definitely don't want to spend Main Dealer prices on a job that big!

Thanks for the tip. I'll try giving Excelsior a ring for starters.

the guy in there told me that they got the franchise just before rover went belly up. chances are they have never seen most rover models. the only advantage they have is access to the rover parts network which is still in business. i think bradleys used to be rover dealers so their mechanics might be better qualified.

    Huge labour rate though
