Earthworm Jim

Having not seen it since I was a kid, I was recently regaled with some Earthworm Jim quotes in college and went about searching for some episodes. I was really surprised when I watched it to find that it holds up ridiculously well. The humour is really clever and witty. There are jokes thrown in there for the adults (episode I just watched earlier had a Pulp Fiction reference). It's very very funny. And fresh. The writers pretty much have free reign to throw in anything they want. It's great.

It's a pity it hasn't been released on DVD because I think it could do really well and get a cult following.

    Anyone else a fan?

It's one of those programs that I've been meaning to watch for a while now and forget to track down some episodes. I used to love it when I was younger. I think the sheer stupidity and complete off the wallness of some things in it was what I used to really love about (for example professor monkey for a head is).

    I'm gonna start watching it.

I miss that show, cartoons just aren't the same as they used to be. Earthworm Jim and Animaniacs beat anything going today..even my da watched them.

Love Earthworm Jim and finally got my hands on it last year. Its still as good as it was when I was younger if not better as I probably get more of it now. Pity the quality isn't great in the copies I got and I haven't been able to find a better version since. It is completely off the wall and I still smile every time Jim laughs like a lunatic as he's firing his gun. Would definitely buy the DVD if I saw it.

I also love Earthworm Jim, the sheer stupidity of it had me in stitches. If a DVD were to come out I'd be one of the first to get it! :)
Jim: Luckily... I have a secret entrance... hidden in this... restroom... stall.
Peter: Jim, I think it's this stall
    Jim: Ewww

yup love it, and foolishly only realised quite recently that it's Homer Simpson doing the voice of Jim.

homer = jim?! no way!!!

though now that you've mentioned it, it sounds vaguely familiar.

gotta say though, this has to be my all time favourite cartoon. i remember getting up early so's i could watch it before school in the mornings, and i remember since being mostly growed up and watching it on sky digital at my mate's house religiously while it lasted, and it being as funny, if not funnier than i remembered it.

    all time favourite cartoon.

peter got his super powers from going where no dog had gone before... and actually attacked the vaccuum cleaner :D

and Evil the Cat, from the planet Heck.
    and Bob, the Killer Goldfish.

    classics :D

the secret of life? we're all jsut snowglobes within snowglobes.

Classic show. Some absolutely fantastic lines and gags in it.

one of my favourite gags was Professor Monkey-for-a-head (great character) testing out his hypno ray on a chicken.. to act like a chicken

    "IT WORKS!!!"

    actually, speaking of Professor Monkey-for-a-head

    Fatomic ray FTW

Ah what a show, I still have the theme song engrained in my brain! The bad quality copies are still worth it. Evil Jim is an absolute legend! eviljim3.gif

Excellent show, some of the lines are fantastic.

You wouldn't realise it's the same guy who voices Homer really until he screams, it's Homer screaming!

Funny enough I always used to say it sounded like homer whenever jim screamed. I loved Earthworm Jim back in the day and would snap it up if it ever got a dvd release, same with Animainiacs

Remember this show very well. Evil the Cat was by far the coolest villian I still can't belieive that shows like "the Tick" and Freakazoid" have been given DVD releases and yet according to it's wiki there are no future plans to release EarthWorm Jim on this platform.

    On a good note however

The legend will be returning next year

To Nutlog was curious as to your interest in Carstown House and your rather cryptic image of wall inscription
