Mammy asked me and I'm too tired from essay writing to bother researching. Could someone please enlighten me as to how you go about getting a grant i.e. who to apply to etc?

    Yo.

You need to apply to your local city council. For example, mine is Dublin City Council.

You can email them or ring them and ask them to send out a form. If you know where their office is, you can call in and collect a form.

The form will be stuff like address, parent's earnings, etc.

They'll also want your parent's social welfare book thing, possibly the children's allowance book. Your mum will know what this is ;)

You'll need your latest P45 if you have one. If you had a job but don't have a P45 for it start getting it now.

There's a few other things you need but I can't remember off hand what they are. Loadsa official stuff.

    Best of luck,

    Rob.

Yeah but if they've rubber tips you'll probably only get about 400,642 of them.

No rubber tops for me, they always leave my page streaky :( My personal favourites are *reads side of pencil* Staedtler Noris HB 2 pencils, retail at 60c i believe... the yellow and black ones with the red shiny top

although i used to be able to get these amazing soft HB pencils from the office in primary school, they were greeny blue and they lasted for ages. Havent seen them in years.

    /pencil love rant over
