its funny i actually like liam toland when he is in the studio but today when he was co commenting he was a bit annoying.
the other guy, main commentator, would have been better by himself

Yep - dreadful, dreadful stuff. The commentary is always so one eyed as well - Surely they need to maintain some minute level of professional detachment??

Is it that Mark Robson guy that commentates for Sky as well? He is infuriating to listen to.

Yeah they were fairly bad now,had to laugh when they thought some penalties went over, when they were clearly way off

Liam Tolland is actually quite good, as he explains things that you can't see from your armchair like how a backline is set - as well as general details of the game.

Mark Robson has moved to Sky, and is also quite a good if excitable commentator.

Miles Harrison + Stuart Barnes are the best though.

I don't get why people complain so much, nothing compares to watching a game live - and the good commentators (Harrison, Butler, Bill McLaren) are those that call the game, while a co-commentator is there to give insights into the more technical side (Brian Moore, Stuart Barnes etc.)

That's just due to their positioning in the ground, it's an easy enough mistake to make. It would be the last thing I'd be worried about from commentators.
