changed my tikka t3lite223 last week for a lovely sako75 varmint laminated stock and stainless barell in 243 with a leupold vx-111 8.5-25*50.. had to help a buddy slabbing the upstairs of his garage at night so brought it with me as there are a lot of rabbits in the fields behind the garage.at about 7.30 we stopped for a fag break and gave the fields a lamp and shot 2 rabbits at 60 to 70 yrds and went back to work, an hour later and the craving for the fags got the better again so stopped up again, just lit d lamp and charlie was tucking into 1 of the rabbits which had been shot(about 30yrds from my friends chicken coup!!!!!)a big rush to plug out halogen lamps and got set up. squeezed the trigger and let the 58gr v-max fly and you should have seen that fox run!!! a 100%total miss. still im much happier to have missed totally than wound.. hope thats the end of the bad misses!!!! :):):)

And it won't be the last miss :(
But you got the 2 rabbits so your new(ish) Sako 75 so your eye is good. Best of luck with your new gun and many more kills. :D

just for curiosity's sake: Was there anything worthwile left of the bunnies? Or did you get them with head shots? I am kinda scared to think what a .243 would do to a bunnie.

if charlie had a straw it would have cut down the risk of him getting a grasscut on his tongue!!!

i had a 314yrd(leupold vx3 range finder)head shot on a rabbit with the same gun before i bought it. the previous owner had it well sorted((dont get a big head cork shooter!!!!!!))):D

And there is your problem...... Slabbing is a heavy job, so the 'ole muscles were well used. That, combined with the rush to extinguish all lights got you all excited.... :P :D
