My wheels keep going out of true, only by about 1-1.5mm but it happens every 50mile or so.

I have tightened up all the spokes and de-stressed the wheel and I'm not going over major potholes. They are Shimano wh5600, any suggestions?

Take them to a bike shop and get them trued properly. If they still come out of true after that then either replace them or get them rebuilt. I say replace cause rebuild is about 50 each round here.

It's probably either one of two things. 1. You're wheels aren't great and won't stay in true or 2. you're not truing them right and maybe leaving an uneven spoke tension.

Unfortunately my local bike shop would not be great at wheels. I have re-tensioned all the spokes by ear (!) and de-stressed it. It would appear that although some of the spokes were not exactly loose they needed a fair bit of tightening so maybe that might have been the problem, only time will tell.
