    Can you be more specific?

You could try unplugging everything from the wall, and plug back in, see if that sorts the issue out.

    To be more specific.
    Update from Samsung:
I had a Samsung Plasma linked to a SKY+HD (Thomson) box. Everything worked fine until Dec last. The TV does not recognise HDCP encryption.
This encryption was a software update and was downloaded automatically at night from Sky. After many phone calls I badgered Sky to replace the unit with a Samsung HD Box. but to no avail. The HDMI input still does not work. I am told that composite leads can do the trick., but there is no facility on the box itself for composite leads. It looks like I'm stuck with a TV that will not accept the HD format. I contacted Samung and eventually after three attempts they admitted there is a problem with some of their TV's compatibility as with other TV manufacturers. Manufacturers are in discussions with Sky to solve the problem. However I am not optimistic. The optical output is operational and sound quality is perfect. Incidenatally the Samsung box far exceeds the Thomson for ease of use and picture quality.

This isn't the first time I've heard of a Samsung TV having issues with HDCP.

IMO, the ball is in Samsung's court, since their TV can't handle HDCP, which it should do. Surely, Samsung should have a software update for the TV which would address the issue?

Only Samsung would be able to help you there (which they aren't doing atm).

Maybe they don't have newer firmwares to fix the problem.

    I was that soldier. :(

I could get no good of Samsung or Komplett who sold it to me. Neither would admit there was a problem and they would not fit it as they did not see any fault with it.

I wouldn't buy a Samsung if they were free.
