Full Ford Puma Service

Any tell me how much a Main dealer full service on a ford puma would cost and what does it consist of .:)

oil + oil filter, air filter, pollen filter, 4 spark plugs.
a good check over as well. When you go to pay they will run down a list with you and point out what needs to be done, whats wrong etc.
good value.

On most makes of cars the exact work involved depends on the mileage/age of the car, ie the service schedule.
Are Fords not done like this? If they are, then its probably not possible to put a price on this without knowing the car details.
Even if the Ford dealers are doing menu pricing for services the details would probably be needed to determine which section of the menu is relevant.

OP, it would probably be easier and more accurate to price it with a dealer, or a number of dealers as prices can vary. Any dealer will tell you whats involved. You may also have this info in your owners handbook.

He said a full service so they are at fixed prices for ford, lets say if the car is in for a minor thats €150, thats oil + filter.
If the car is in for the likes of an oil change and plugs it would work out different. not sure the price.

Thats what I was wondering. So the ford service schedule is just major and minor with no additions?

In that case then the brake fluid and coolant do not need to be changed nor the pollen filter, or are these included in the menu price?.
Dont these run platimun plugs? Surely these are not changed every second service?
If its an auto does the trans not require any attention ever?
Does the aircon ever require attention?

If all those are included then its major good value. if not then it makes a slight mockery of menu pricing.

is it poosible to find out how much it is to do a diagnostic test by a ford garage on the car,and how much does this cost

Ah, so you are not actually looking for a full service, just a few particular jobs.

Sorry, I think I may be confusing the issue for you, though its not as straight forward as you might imagine it should be.

Just got your PM re the price of dealer diagnostic charges. I would happily tell you the price if I could but as I don’t work in a dealer I do not have that info..

What most people refer to as a “diagnostic check” is a code read. This is very low level and often does not achieve the required results, ie a specific problem fixed. It can give a result but not always. Most dealers charge a lowish rate for this.

If the car is due a service then the chances are the dealer will do a code read as part of the service. If you are planning on getting the car serviced as a means to cure a fault then I would advise that will be unlikely to work. Very few faults are caused by service items.

If it requires more in depth diagnostics then that is a different matter.

ie, oil filter,air filter,plugs, oil separate to to the labour
