UPC NTL problems in Santry

    Just wondering if anyone is having problems with UPC in Santry?

    Its mainly my broadband, has been getting worse since the beginning of December and its unusable at night now on the Xbox. And the TV has been going off occasionally over that time too. They tell me they aren't working on the line and everything is working fine but I was wondering if anyone else has been having these problems?

    I have the same problem in that some times the connection on xbox live playing call of duty is sweet then other times I cant get into any games and drop out of chats etc. I team up with someone from santry and one from swords and sometimes they get into the games but I keep getting dropped. Not sure if that helps. It is a similar problem all the same. I read somewhere that the problem might be if you are using the wireless that there is someone else close by using the same channel on their wireless which interferes with yours. I might give that one a go myself. Let me know if you get anywhere....:D

    Oh and I am in Kinsealy ...

    I dont know about Kinsealy , but Sierra are doing some major re cabeling work around Santry Glasnevin & Ballymun on behalf of NTL

    Thats exactly the problem i have on xbox live. Cod is the only game that works at times as matchmaking on halo, gears etc just times out. I hammered on to them and they told me it was cos there is too much usage on the line running from my building (group of buildings or area). Im in Northwood in santry tho, wouldnt think the problem is too wide spread, maybe u have the same problem in ur local area? (im not too clued up on where kinsealy is haha)

    Smart is available on that exchange.(About 400m from ya) I,d strongly recommend it & its non contended. UPC are ripping the place to bits all round you there.
