the CA one is sh1te. get either the TM or the JG.
the TM feels nice and the plastics are good, As far as i can remember it has trade marks too,

the design of them all is the same so parts are interchangeable and easily found. the JG has the best gearbox of them all and is the most reliable. it will problably be the closes to 1J too. you could get a JG A1, gaurder hopup, shims and bushings all for a lot less than the TM and CA and then you'll have a gun that out performs most of the stuff you'll be gaming against. :)

JG = Jing Gong = a clone company.

Or at least, they were....lately they've been getting innovative, more expensive and better quality. They're doing what Classic Army did five or six years ago, and moving away from their roots as a purely clone manufacturer, to higher quality original designs.

In Airsoft a clone is defined as a cheaper copy of a more expensive, better quality AEG (eg CA & TM).
It was once true, CA made great AEGs, clones where cheapsoft, cheap unreliable copys of better AEGs.

As Shiva and Masada pointed out CA AEGs are not as good as they once were while JG have only got better.

In relation to JG, clone does not mean inferior.

I have had a JG AUG A1 for over a year (from Eirsoft). It is accurate, the optic sight works and I haven't found a major fault with it (ok the vertical foregrip and cocking handle wobble, but all airsoft AUGs have this problem).

If you want a AUG but don't have your heart set on an A1, I would recommend the JG A3 version. No foregrip or integral sight but better internals, higher ROF and RAS rail forestock. Downside is it costs a little more and is a little heavier due to the RAS.

There is a review of the A3 in the reviews section

To be honest you will not find a better AUG A1 for the price.

Most of the retailers on this board will have the JG A1

In lieu of a review of the A1, a little something I found.

The grip wobbles in all airsoft AUGs. The grip on my CA A1 can support the entire weight all 3.5kg of it. I have picked it up loads of times with the grip alone and it held. I have tested it from time to time by just holding the grip in one hand and keeping the AEG level for as long as I dared, I didn't support it at all with my other hand. Most people fold it up out of the way or take it off. Its easy to put back on or to replace if it breaks.

I also broke of my foregrip, I fixed it with a Guarder replacement part for the broken part, nearly all the HK retailers have them.
