Returning faulty goods bought on E-Bay

I bought goods on E-Bay which I knew were used. 1.goods were damaged when received 2.Will get refund when I return them 3.Paid €41 to buy them 4.Will cost €38 to post back any ideas

Why will it cost 38 to post back? There's nothing else you can do, eBay and Paypal will not make the seller pay for returns on faulty items.
