Can anybody reccomend a good foundation that wont make your skin greasy/oily?

Ive tried endless foundations. I dont have spots but find that because my skin gets greasy I start to break out from time to time.

    Help!!!:(

Mac powder and a foundation brush. Used for years and never had breakouts. I had tried every other foundation known to (Wo)man before that.

It sounds like you might have combination skin. To be honest I think your best option is to go and make an appointment at one of the make-up counters like Smashbox or Clinique and tell them your past experiences.

They should be able to make a recommendation to you. A good primer should also help in preventing oily/greasy skin.

If you're skin in clear would you consider going without foundation and just sticking to powder to keep shine at bay? I found foundation made my skin quite shiny and greasy looking and since I started doing it this way the shine is gone! Just a suggestion.

Vichy Dermablend is great for oily skin, I barely have to put any powder on when I wear it unlike other foundations I use where I powder every few hours. Vichy have a make up that soaks up sebum too if you want to check out their range, it's in most big chemists like McCabes, Hickeys etc.

Go make an appointment with Prescriptives, they have the most amazing mineral powder, and I also fell in love with their cream foundations. When you use them with their primer, it goes on like silk, and stays on all day (and I've got oily skin too).

    Highly recommended.

To be honest never used mac before, always used maxfactor, maybelline and rimmel.

Good idea. What do they do at the apointment? would they just be recommending different products???

Dont wanna go without foundation cos I am a fair bit pale. FYI I wouldnt be one of those "youve been tangoed" girls either :D
Just love a bit of colour on the face

Ive used Vichy Normaderm before... used it before foundation but it seemed to make the problem worse!!!
Especially around the nose, cheeks and forehead

Prescriptives have a makup counter in BT's and also in House of Fraiser in Dundrum! I've been to both and the sales assistants have been very helpful (and not stuck-up!!!)!

I'm not sure if you actually have to make an appointment, but it'd mean you'd get their full attention for as long as it takes.

They do this 'colour-printing' to match a foundation to your skin tone perfectly! I've never worn something that looks so natural. I was very undecided what to get, so even though I bought the mineral powder which I love, they also gave me loads of samples of the cream foundations, so I could try them at home! It was very helpful!

I'm a convert and believe it's better to spend a bit more on something which you will know for sure will match your skin tone and type - rather than having a drawer full of unused bottles for 20 euro each!

    Have you tried clinique??

I struggled for years to find a foundation, tried every brand under the sun.
But i've been using clinique for about 4 years now, and have never had a problem with it.
I use the compact, but used the liquid foundation once when I was really stuck and cldnt get compact refill. No complaints there either.

Use it with brush or sponge, depending on your preference.

My friend swears by Estee Lauder, I bought it last year to try it out, but only used it once or twice.
It's the one that one move once it's put on, but I hated the consistency of it on my skin, felt like a face mask.

    Good luck
