Hi all, Ive just come back from my sister-in-laws and her LG LCD Tv has just stopped working just as we were about to leave, we heard what sounded like a light bulb breaking coming from the back of the TV and the TV just went black no picture, no sound. The power light was green (Power on) and after about 10 seconds it went on standby and we tried again to power on and it did with a black screen and then went back on to standby, there was no smell of burning.
Can anyone throw some light on this?

sounds like the panel is burnt out or blown,it would probably cost more to fix than to buy a new one.

It could also be that the backlight has blown, or a component on the power supply circuit.
