Well I'm biased, so I'm going to say the Polo. If you get one that's 00-01, they aren't bad shape. 1.0, 50 bhp. They are in no way powerful, but if it's a first car, it should do fine. Here's an example that you should get for 2.5k

What I don't like about the Peugeots is the very plasticy interior and the tiny pedals. Although saying that, it's all down to personal opinion.

Here's a 3door 206, with a bit of tax and nct. Again, I'd knock up to 300 euro off the price.

I doubt it very much. know its seven years old but they do hold onto their value pretty well. If i were you i'd have a look through the classifieds with that age of car. You can save a fortune on dealer prices. Make sure to get a mechanic to check anything out
