    Anyone use them?

I am currently in the process of opening an account. But I'm already thinking of pulling out. I haven't lodge any funds, I'm kinda reluctant to. Gut feelings.

    1. constantly ringing me. If i had 3k in the account I wonder would I be treated the same way.

    2. No where on the website does it state its commissions and chgs. So when i asked, i received an email, with the chgs for dealing with shares. and shares only, buy and sell chgs.

    3. Each time I have brought up something they tell me there is no charge, yet 1 day later its a different story. I was told Fund the account online for free, and then when i went to do it, it was charging me 2%, just to fund it. yet then they stated to me, no its free, then 1 min later, hold on, yeah its a chg from the bank. . . lol. . . .

I asked again, may i have a full list of charges/fees/commissions which i will or i might incurr while I have an account with ODL, and they said yes sure.
2 mins later I had the above email again, just telling me that it will cost x amount to buy and x amount to sell. Thats it.

Then this morn I received an email, "you will incur the below charges on all withdrawals" 25£ or something. but I then received another mail telling me to ignore the previous one, as it was sent in error.

I understand what charges I should normally incur.
But im really cheesed off that they are keeping them from me, probably until its too late. the charges I have come across are only becuase i have forced them to tell me, and thats becuase I am aware of them. But what about the chgs I dont know about. .

Ill think about it over the weekend. But I think ill look else where.

    Any references would be a help. . . thought i found a good broker. . .

    Thanks,
    LNB

There are plenty decent brokers around. Why would you choose one which gives you hard time from the start?

for share dealing I use TD Waterhouse, works for me , they cover most of the larger markets.

Hey if i could predict things, Id keep me investment money, spend €4 on the lotto and live happy:D.

Post a decent response if you posting anything. Don't question my prior opinion/knowledge of this broker before I progressed to opening an account, Why? because I'm too poor to buy a crystal ball;)

I'm sure strmin wasn't actually attacking you MrLNB.
    Probably just a rhetorical statement.

I haven't had any experience with this crowd but, by the sounds of things, it would be worth picking a different broker and not having to deal with the fuss.

    Good luck :D

Yeah I guess, I guess, I was a bit strung up about it when posting this. I guess I am finding it had to do what I thought would have been a simple job, get a broker.
Again, any ideas or references welcome.

oh, since I have got in touch with odl, I have received at least one call everyday, and even today. I gave up answering since last thur. I have no money in the account, but Im closing it. not worth it, this much hassle, and hey im not even trading. . .lol :D:D
