Once again the uninformed Neil Predegast has a go (albeit without mentioning Airsoft)

A woman rang up to complain about how her back windshield imploded without warning at a macdonalds drivethrough in douglas cork. Her complaint was that the manager and customers (whom she held up while waiting for the Gardai) gave her nothing but grief. In an attempt to figure out what happened her windshield someone suggested that it wasn't the first time and that someone in a nearby apartment complex was shooting out the windows of cars. Cue Neil talking about a nearby shop (that shall not be mentioned here) that sells these items that shoot a hard plastic pellet and implying that these could be the source of the damage. For the love of god....... I tried logging onto the 96fm website to offer to go up to the studio and show the dope my gbb pistols and AEG's to prove how harmless they are but the site is frozen at the moment.

I'll keep trying.

It might not be wise to jump in with your own personal opinion as it could make things worse, maybe just make the IAA aware of the situation and let them reply if necessary in a professional monor.

I suspect they wouldn't be too bothered by it though, there will always bee those who want to cash in on the hysteria in the hope of upping their listener ship. i never even heard of the station to be honest.

Prendeville is a bit of a c0ck in my opinion, he will always argue with the poor old sod who has been supposedly wronged, even if they are being totally irrational. Dont like the guy and wouldnt give him the satisfaction of calling up, usually presenters are a neutral party in arguments but he will always take a side!

No offense now but just because you are from the almighty DUBLIN and have never heard of our lowly 96fm in Cork doesn't mean that its insignificant. It has a huge following in Cork.

I have no affiliation with IAA or any other airsoft assocation but if I feel I can better the sport by setting a few illinformed people right then I will. I don't need any airsoft bodies permission to do so.

If it was Joe Duffy, Ryan Tuberty, Pat Kenny, Jerry Ryan, George Hook etc etc...

then i'm sure the show would have sizable an audience.

It was a SUGGESTION!, not an order, You dont have to be a member in order to make them aware of something. they are better equipped and more professional than you are. which is why thet are there and can present facts in defense of the sport.

So your logic is that if it doesn't reach a large audience its not worth mentioning ?

And no Sir, i would recommend you get out more and realise there is more to Ireland than feckin dublin.

Every DJ you mentioned is either a dub or broadcasts out of dublin.

Oh my god you have hit the nail on the head here, everytime i find myself listening there is always mentioning of restaurants here and there, Its so unprofessional of a radio station to be constantly doing it, Its funny really sometimes i think people call up just to give a shout out to whatever there promoting!!!
