I ordered sky hd from sky 3 weeks ago and still no sign of it coming, no phone call or anything!

Is this a normal waiting time for it?
If i call a contractor can they install it quicker?

Hd stocks are extrememly hard to obtain at times, especially at the moment as there's a recall on a number of Pace Hd Boxes and due to the low €49 price tag....wouldnt be a bad idea to ring them and ask them for an update on your order or to try an independant just to see...why not post ur area...plenty of independant installers on here including myself that may be able to help you out.

    Im in Douglas, Cork

The reason i want to go with sky is because i think i need an octo LNB, I have 2 multiroom boxes and a sky+ box, one of the multirooms will be replaced with hd box so therefore i will need 6 cables for the house!!!

I hear sky give you the Octo for free, im afraid a contractor will charge me!!!

Anyone in the Cork area that can help?

I think most independants charge about €80- €95 for a proper shaped octo for a skydish....something Id be happy to pay for if it meant you got what u wanted ......

I ordered sky hd online last Friday. Got a phone call that same day and was given an install date of April 1st.

You can call for an update on your order. There should be no harm in calling.
