I've been to three watch shops today looking to get my Garmin Forerunner 50 fitted with a new battery (have only had it for three months now, buts thats for another thread!) and none of them wanted to change it, giving one excuse after anotherThe manual recommends only that you take it to a professional watch repair service.

Anybody know where I can get this done without any hassle?? It only requires a standard CR2032 battery.

The little jewellery shop in city square will fix it,but she told me that its at your own risk....she says its possible that if you break the seal that your sweat could eventually break it !

I recently had to replace and found them really cheap on eBay. Approx €6 incl post for 12, which is much better than the €8 I nearly paid in town for one! Buy a good few if you can, as you'll need the same type for the foot pod and chest strap. It's a straightforward task once you are delicate with it.
