Making a successfull VRT Rebate Claim

    How can I make a VRT Rebate claim, I believe they had my car over valued to the tune of €7000.

    If I go into 3 SIMI registered garages and get a written valuation from each would that be enough?

    I'd say they have a lot of cars overvalued (in terms of VRT).

    Thats good news if it True Bazz?
    Where is the stats on that available? No questioning the reliability of what you say, but i'm just curious?

    Here is an old article from the Irish Times, appeal success is closer to 80% actually back then:

    But given that second hand car values have fallen through the cracks which Revenue seem to be slow to take into account I think there are good grounds for a high success rate.

    Agreed, OP - if you have solid "forecourt" prices in writing of a car, same age,spec everything - then you can't really loose but then again, this is the revenue we are talking about - like who's policing them ehhhh???
