    there's not much information on the family in this story. What's the profession of both parents, how much did they buy their house for, what alternatives have they tried to keep the bank happy?

    I wouldn't say the personal details of the family should be published. I think the important bit is
    "Without being accepted on the waiting list, he said the couple cannot get any financial help from the State towards moving into rental accommodation"

    I reckon they are probally out of work, if they cannot meet repayments.

    Does it matter? If you're close to having your house repossessed and it's only a matter of time before the sheriff comes knocking, it's reasonable to assume that they have exhausted all avenues with their bank.

    Their professions are also irrelevant because whether they're are unemployed or employed, they are still losing their home.
