I see many banks offering less than 1% now on demand deposit accounts.
Postbank slashed its premium savers rate from 4.55% (up to 100k) to 1.7% from yesterday... Is it worth going to anglo with the guarantee up to 100k etc. 4.75% is a good APR. anyone any opinions? not happy with 1.7% with Postbank.

I think "It's your Money" is always a good place to start:

But I guess it is down to:

    - how much of a pain is it to arrange moving from one institution to another?

    - are you going to be leaving your money 'there' for long enough that the costs make it worth it?

Nice link. thanks Mort. There is no costs to move a lump sum from where I am into somewhere else. I guess it would be there for a year at least so worth doing. Just don't understand how Anglo can offer this rate, I'l research it some more.
    cheers

I've said it before on other threads - its Risk Vs Reward. You might say there is no risk - thats your call.

Personally with all the underhand stuff Anglo have been up to, I dont care waht sort of rates they offer, I would nevergo back to them (had an account and closed it)
