    Hi all

we recently did our road tax payment for 6 months, but we have decided in the meantime to get a newer motor.

The question is, is road tax transferable to the new car?
Also in terms of insurance,I know I have to call our current insurer, but what do I need to tell them for the insurance to be valid on the new car?

    Thank you
    John

Unfortunately no road tax is for the particular vehicle and non transferable.

    can't transfare road tax.

Insurance company will just need the usual make/model/value and reg details.

Nope, but you can use it as a selling point for the car.
Saves the buyer €300 or the like if it's taxed for 6 months.
