    Hi,
I'm French and live in Dublin. I'm looking for an online broker to be able to declare gain in Ireland.

    - What is the cheaper online broker in Ireland?
    - What is the amount of taxes for the gains? (In France it's 30%)

    Thanks,
    David

I don't know about the brokers but I do know that spread trading (using paddypower for example) in Ireland is tax free as it's classed as gambling.

If you want to own actual securities, then the tax on those gains is currently 22%. It's quite likely to be increased on April 7th when the budget is announced, perhaps to 25% or 30% but nobody knows!

    Thank you very much.
If the 7th April it will be increase, I'll wait.
