I sent all my documentation by post to the MTO in Dublin today.

The website says that you should allow up to 28 working days to receive your permit but I was told over the phone that I would have my proof of identity back within 4 or 5 working days.

Is it likely that my permit will be sent at the same time or does it usually take the 4 weeks they say it will?

    Nice one.

One to two weeks would be the norm.

Yup they just say that to cover themselves, should have it in a week or two.
