    Hi all,

I work, my girlfriend is on the dole, we live together and have a mortage.

I heard somewhere that i might be able to claim her Tax Credits. Anyone know if this is true and are they doing it?

    Thanks,

    Pat.

I think that you have to be married in order to share tax credits. Open to correction though.

Im not sure what way thing stand now but years ago before I was married I lived with my wife and I claimed her tax free allowance when she wasnt working, that might have changed since 1992 though.
