    Hi There,

I'm gonna be down in Portumna tomorrow and will stay overnight but the problem is i have to get back to Dublin the next day and Bus Eireann say they don't have a Saturday service to Dublin...Can anyone advise me on any way at all to get back to Dublin on Sat.

Or if i have to go to Galway city via taxi how much is that likely to cost?

Any and ALL help would be HUGELY appreciated!!

    Thanks Folks
    C.

Thanks mate will do. Are they the only company other than Bus eireann with a Portumna To Dublin service do you know?

Thinking i might also look at getting a taxi to Galway city/Loughrea/Moat or Ballinasloe and get a citylink bus but i'm not sure what the cost of a taxi would be

If you're getting a taxi, you are better off going to either Loughrea or Ballinasloe (both about 30Km from Portumna). Galway would be about 70Km, would cost a lot more, and you would have to be up a lot earlier!
You could try calling the Shannon Oaks hotel or another b&b in Portumna and ask them for the tel. no. of a local hackney driver. They should be able to help.

If you are getting a cab, better go to Ballinasloe rather then Loughrea, it's closer to Dublin on the the bus route and it also has a rail link.

    This too shall pass.
