There will be a debate next Tuesday at 7:30pm in the O' Flaherty theatre discussing the future of northern Ireland.

There will be debate and discussion on recent events, current tactics and strategies for the future. There will be speakers from the following parties,

    [*]Socialist party

    [*]Sinn Fein

    [*]Socialist workers party

    [*]Irish Republican Socialist Party

    [*]Workers party

As it is a topical issue we are hoping to get a good crowd and allow relevant questions to be asked afterwards. Hope to see you all there.

Witty. This was organised by a group of students who would have been able to get a speaker from the above parties on short notice. This is the last week to host such a debate because of Easter break and exams coming up.

You seem to think that there are two many similarities between these parties. I would ask you to attend and see that is not the case.

[*]Socialist party - The capitalist government is taking away the rights of the people!

[*]Socialist workers party - The capitalist government is taking away the rights of the workers!

[*]Irish Republican Socialist Party - The capitalist government is taking away the rights of the workers....**** the queen!

[*]Workers party - The government are taking away the rights of the people!

[*]Sinn Fein - **** the queen!

Yea, I'm sure it'll be great.

Sorry for not toeing the typical leftist socialist lets throw money around line that most students seem to. You go fellate Marx, I'll be ramming it into Smith.

In a totally non sexual way.

If there was another side to the debate I'd go, but there isn't, so it's just a circle jerk, so I shall pass.

You do not think that their is going to be comradery and back slapping going on at this debate do you?

If you do it really does show how much you know. The debate is on the north and strategies for the future, if you ahve a relevant question that will stump them as easily as you think then come along and ask it, not being critical on an internet forum.

*reads location* Makes sense, stinky hippy.

And I would have said Friedman, if he were relevant anymore. Makes me a sad panda.

Just a reminder that this Debate is on today at half seven in the Kirwan and not the O'Flaherty theatre as first planned. There will be a lot of time allocated to questions from the floor, if you ahve a relvant question do come along and ask.

As for the aobve critisism of the apprent lack of diversity at the table. First of all this was set up by students who could easily get speakers from each of those parties down on such short notice. Secondly do some reasarch as there will be no as i siad back slapping and much solidarity between the parties above.

    Hope to see you there.
