I wouldn't mind, but both panels are TN models (ie 6 bit panels, not 8 bit MVA/PVA or IPS). Basically fast response, but low colour monitors that are fine for most users but unsuitable for professional use.
Problem is that the one posted by OP costs as much as a pro model! (claims 98% NTSC but I'd take that with a pinch of salt...)

Dell usually charge about double for monitors in Ireland, than they do in the US. This monitor is €366 ($499) on the Dell US web site: http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/products/Displays/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=223-5647 It's not half the price but still a hefty €133 less.

That's expensive. A 24" samsung T240 is only €300, I'd sooner get a second T240 than spend nearly twice as much on this.

Yeah well spotted that's one stonker of a monitor. It's a 28" widescreen for about €388 delivered :eek: You can get 3.5% back on the price at TopCashBack.

Any recommendation on a monitor for Pro use? Want to get one for my wife for photoshop

This Dell monitor appears to be a proof of concept product; hence the huge price. I doubt even Dell expected to sell many of them. It does open up the door for more unique products in the future, however, Dell had better not charge an arm and a leg for a lacklustre product again that is simply style over substance.

To be honest, you're not going to find a budget pro monitor, as the budget monitors use TN panels, the mid-range monitors use PVA panels and the pro panels use IPS panels. The best you can hope to find within your price range is a mid-range monitor.
