Helping Hands Network works in association with Age Action Ireland. We need volunteers to carry out small repair jobs and minor home tasks for older people in the Ballyfermot & Chapelizod areas. Tasks, such as mowing a lawn, changing plugs, fuses, light bulbs or fitting a smoke alarm. An interest in DIY would be great and anyone with specialist skills (e.g. joinery, electrical etc) would be very welcome. Our volunteers work in pairs and are supported by a project co-ordinator. This initiative is part of the Age Action Ireland commitment to enabling older people to live independently in their own homes for as long as they wish.
