I bought a used car of a dealer there last week, He sent he sent the log book off to Shannon the next day to get it changed over to my name, Im just wondering what is the process & how long does it usually take?, Will the log book just be sent out to my house & thats it, or is there something i have to sign first & send back etc?

    thanks

It will be sent out to you. Should be a couple of weeks. Shannon are notoriously slow. You can call them and they automated answering machine (they only answer the phone for an hour or two during the day because they are so busy:rolleyes:) will tell you the dates they are processing

If the dealer has the new online system, it can take only a few days - five is the longest i've experienced.

If it's sent out manually, it can take up to two weeks.

I would think so far this year far far less car been registered/change of ownership. Should be quicker than it has been in past years. last year I got my new log book in about 3 weeks.

Yes it means either 1) they haven't received it or 2) They haven't updated their records
