Sorry can't help but I'm having a very similariar problem. Computer came with trial version of Office 2007 installed. Bought retail copy of Office 2007 professional and installed. Have problems now where the individual applications (word, excel etc) won't launch from the start menu or direct from the Office folder. Just nothing happens. Go to Add/Remove programs and start the uninstall, but after the progress bar completes it says "did not complete successfully". For both versions. Why won't it uninstall?

Not sure which side of the Helping with Pirate Software block this falls on, but until this thread is killed, try this:

    http://www.revouninstaller.com/

    Very comprehensive third party uninstaller.

Also, IIRC, CCleaner has a similar function built in

I will comment on the trial version issue but the same should work for the pirate software. It is a know issue by microsoft and they have a detailed article on it. This works as I have done it on at least 10 PC's in the last month. Make sure you follow the instructions... http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928218

You wont get any help here with pirated software. End of.

To those that posted offering help: Do not do that again.
