    Evening all,

Thinking about changing the car and giving serious thought to a Saab 9-3 1.9 TiD Sport - 2006 with 31k odd miles. I've driven the linear version before and thought it was on the ball. Have test driven this estate version and was happy enough on the day, but what (if any) are the issues people have with this model?

    Cheers.

1.9 is a highly regarded fiat multijet engine, and is generally considered the best in the saab range. 2006 means a pre-facelift 9-3 and Saab are going out of business, so you should be able to haggle although it may be hard to get rid of in a few years if you want to trade it in. Despite the dilution of saab magic by GM, they are still popular among certain types of people (ahem Bill gates for example).

I plan to buy one for my next car, but then again I'm just some guy on the internet.

People will say vectra in drag, although it only shares about 60% of epsilon GM platform with the vectra.

If you want to compare it with something, try a honda accord or a VW passat - A4 and 3 series are a class up again.

Man - we're all interweb randomers here! Just realising something off the back of your vec. comment BTW. Been happily driving a zafira for years, but have recently found my eye straying towards the saab - is this some GM mindtrick over which I have no control?
