    Hi all,

I'm thinking of hitting this tomorrow after work, how difficult is it? I dont want to get there only to find drops that I cant get around. I can handle a bike, north shore stuff etc. I have no intention of hitting it full speed but would it be realistic to compleate the trak without being kitted up. I only ask cos I've never been there, going by the photos on various sites it looks fantastic, I just dont want to go there and have to head home without being able to go for a spin.

    Am I being vague enough???

    Cheers...

Thanks for that Morgan, I just thought I'd throw it out there really- I have all my stuff with me now so I'll give it a go, worst case I have to come back better prepaired?! I'm sure it'll be grand so long as there are no 20 foot drops:eek:

Determination is nothing more than an internilised tantrum ,

And remember folks the key to succesful MTBing is to have one bike for up hill and one for down:D:D

Love that last picture. I saw an even more extreme version of that in an adventure race a few years ago (Teams of 4 in the race), where a guy was cycling with his team-mate on the crossbar, and the team-mate in turn was carrying his own bike (with a completely collapsed rear rim/wheel). Amazing cycling!

    Well I survived:D

Perhaps thats partly down to the fact that I didn't do it. well I went, climbed, cycled, had a great evening but the course in the pics above is competition down hill trak, its not so much an mtb trail more a water fall for bikes! There is no way on this earth my bike would have got me down it in one piece (my lack of skill may have been an issue also)

I belted away on other trails and bits of the serious one. Many trees down blocking it too, there was a storm last night but by the look of them they're there a while.

Anyway had a great spin, 2 hour trek, back to the car park, wash down in the river... happy dayz

    Roll on the summer
