Any fixed gear wheels for sale?

    Hi there,

As the title says, looking for a fixed rear wheel for a ghetto build. Any condition at all as long as the bearings aren't shagged and the wheels itself isn't buckled beyond belief. I can true a wheel so minor hops or wobbles aren't a big fuss. Flip flops are fine, I'm not going to be hugely picky as long as it's cheap!

So yeah, post away what ye have.

I think he meant as a last resort in case nobody has any wheels they want to get rid of.

@Wez: Yeah I was looking at those before, still hoping to get a cheap second hand wheel/set as I have to buy a few more things like chain, clips and a seat. Thanks for the link though.

No worries, seems harder than finding hen's teeth picking up a fixed rear in éire - cheap!

I say scope out eBay, found a few gems on there, and you have England to search in too without the postage becoming rediculous! It's on average $70 postage from the US to send a wheelset, can't imagine it's much lower for a single..

Consider building your own, it's what I did in the end, just bought a hub from the US and everything else here! Much cheaper, and it's a major milestone in bike mechanics!

    It does doesn't it.

Yeah, I think I may forage around on eBay for a while and hopefully net a bargain from the UK. I just bought a pair of t shirts and grips from the US last week- the order was $41 and the shipping was 35$, with another 7 euros on top of that for customs when it arrived. I may look into that wheel building idea though, I reckon the hub alone would be light and cheap to post.

    Thanks again.
