    I am in the process of setting up a small design business and to appeal to a larger consumer base (considering current market conditions!)

    I thought of maybe providing an online advice service where the customer could email me photographs, dimensions of a particular area in their home and complete a short questionnare.

    I would then return with suggestions, images, paint colours, furniture images, furniture specifications, floor plan etc depending on how much they wanted to change. This way i could reach markets far beyond our current sad little state of affairs!

    My question is as a consumer - would this type of service appeal to you??
    I guess i am trying to attached services / and add ons that will keep the business above water until things improve.

    Just looking for subjective advice / guidance???rolleyes.gif

    Anything is worth trying but it is difficult to get enough replies to this sort of site and to convert them into cash. I suspect one could spend many hours without recompense. I have a site inviting ID enquiries running for the last 4 years and in only provides about 1 lead per month and has, in 4 years, resulted in the sale of 2 rolls of wall paper.
