Carzone would get my vote, no harm sticking it in the herald also.

Would think it would be very difficult to sell such a new car privately.

I can negotiate on price alright but not that much, will stick it in carzone and see how it goes, if it does'nt sell I'm not bothered, will keep it as its a nice drive

Just checked carzone, cheapest one is 15k, willing to beat that, but hoping for reasonably close to it. Think thats possible?

I'm looking to buy one for the wife at the moment (if I can ever make up my mind what to go for:rolleyes:)

Reason I am looking at a Focus is because her first choice of a '08 Golf Tdi would cost about €15k to bring in from the UK (Silver 5 door Match 14k mls) so going for a Focus as a cheaper alternative, looking at about €11,500 - €12,000 for a 5 door Style 110bhp. 8k - 12k miles.

Ye I could get an 08 new model 90 focus in the north for under 8k and only two thousand something VRT. so thats nearly a saving of 4 grand right away. thats why nothing is selling in ireland, they'll have to meet in the middle sooner or later.

Looking at autotrader.co.uk the cheapest ones are 9k stg or €10k + 2.6k VRT + expenses, I've been tracking UK prices lately, seems they've being going up a good bit
