Car Insurance Renewal Increase

    Has anyone got a car insurance renewal quote recently?

    I've just got mine and it has gone from €491 to €633. Nothings changed, same car, same penalty points, car is even valued less.

    Seems to be across the board on all the online quotes I've done aswell. Nothing cheaper out there than what my current insurer is quoting me on the renewal....:confused:

    The prices went up in general,

    Quinn usually just quotes the same price you had before,

    Have you tried 123.ie?

    Everyone's premium is up a lot. There was a thread about this a while back.

    EDIT: Before someone points it out that I'm wrong because theirs went down, I mean that in general premiums appear have risen even after an extra year's NCB is taken into account.

    this happened my wife so she rang her broker to find out why and they gave off a list of excuses. so we said we would go else where and they brought the qoute back down to last years price and threw in free wind screen cover.

    FBD gave me a great quote nearly 50% off quinn qoute so just seen out the remainder of policy before changing.

    also I rang them and got cheaper over the phone.
