Would anyone else like to see a spin off based in present day Earth or possibly a near future where head six and head baltar are the main characters. It could follow their manipulation of a new collection of characters on the eve of a possible destruction of Earth, (all of this has happened before, all of this will happen again)

I think it has potential, i'd loved to see more of head Six and Baltar

no i think the show reached its climax, anything more would be unrealistic even for sci-fi.
a prequal however would be nice, caprica should be interesting, i wouldnt mind seeing the first cylon war and how it ended with an armastice, there wasnt enough clarity on that in BSG
possibly the life of young bill adama and saul tigh.

There are clear plot integrity reasons why this should never happen, but there are also the simple fact that Moore, Eick and most of the creative forces behind Battlestar Galactica are working on Caprica now, and that would need to fail for them to realistically do another show and if that was the case, I don't think 'SyFy' would be quick to pick up a second spin-off after the first one had failed.

To add to that, Moore has 'Virtuality' in the works as well, and he's clearly the driving force behind anything in this universe.

Simply - you can hope, but not much more.

To be honest, I would absolutely hate that, but hey, that's just me. I sincerely doubt it will happen though, I think they designed the ending of BSG to be left as a kind of open ended affair without room for further development from where they left off. The more I think about it, the more dreadful I think it would be if they ever attempted it. Don't mean to annoy you, just what I think.

I agree, don't mess with this series e.gif

It is better off as a stand alone, this isn't some stargate crap. In 10 years another iteration of the series would be fine, but no spin-offs now imo.

Would be better off if the writers/producers moved onto other material, no BSG baggage. I can't wait to see what those guys do next.

The BSG film sets and props were dismantelled and auctioned off after the series finale.
