For the U.S., its the united states reporter cited as volume number US page number (year)
e.g. Roe v. Wade 410 U.S. 113 (1973)

For Canada its the supreme court reporter, again [year] volume SCR page number

e.g. R. v. City of Sault Ste-Marie [1978] 2 S.C.R. 1299
