Does anyone else ever wonder what is the reason for the existence of the City Channel? It only ever shows worthless crap, and usually whatever is listed on the ntl display isn't what's actually being shown. I mean, do the people who run it not have ANY pride in their work?

The Galway one, although it doesn't have many Galway-specific things on.

I could never see the point of it myself. Here's hoping it never goes on DTT

Nothing obvious about it.....even before the OP clarified that it "obviously" wasn't! :D

City Channel or Channel South needs to be more like an Irish ITV (I don't mean they should buy in Coronation Street).

They should have a majority of national shows followed by a similar show for locals.

They basic produce 12 episodes of each show, one per month and repeat each week for one month.

I have tuned into their Media Show on occassion.

They are trying to be 24 hours when they should try to be 4hours to start.

They are part owned by UPC so they may never reach DTT. It is an exclusive channel on UPC :)

We're in Galway and have Channel South for some reason. The schedule says City Channel and it's never right for what's on at any given time.

    It's such a waste of a Channel.

did a full re-scan and its gone on my receiver
not a big deal just wondered if it had moved to saorview or re-branded
NTL should relay some other FTA channel on it

The channel is part owned by UPC (do understand why they don't provide an Irish version of the CBS channels, with local programming surrounding the CBS schedule).
