At least it got a proper cinema release - unlike most Irish movies.

yes but with animated films your taking at least a 4 year turn around if not more so wouldn't be getting too excited for it just yet.

I don't think the reception was so miserable, the screening at the film festival was very positive and it got alot of press coverage and Disney Ireland gave it a really great push, couldn't really ask for much more. I know Tomm's been pretty happy which he didn't think he would be after working on it for so long. It will be shown on Irish television before the end of '09 so plenty of people will see it. Wither people liked it or not, it got out there which is alot more then some Irish productions get.

Always thought we have more talent in this country for animation than live- action films.

It's still showing at matinee times at a few cinemas around the country but not at any evening times. That's usually what happens with cartoon/kid films after they've been out for a few weeks.

I loved this film- not for the story just the animation- the soundtrack was great too- surprisingly few kiddies at this when I saw it- its something I'd buy on dvd- so just wait til then!
